Finally got a call back from my painter yesterday. I needed his pro opinion about either getting an ap1 rear bumper, getting the side over hang extention pieces and rear add ons to the ap1 bumper OR....shaving, molding and fixing my current ing's bumper now. He said he can fix it no problem and the ap1 rear with that extra stuff won't look right.
That's awesome news. I don't know why those ings bumpers stick out on the sides like that.
Zeke, chip...did yours do the same thing?

because your body guy didnt cut holes like the ones that are in the oem bumper. There a little clips that hold it tight.
interesting. so zeke had that same issue?
not really, we cut the holes when he got his bumper so it sits flush.
Thanks for that Chip

So your bumper DOESNT bow out anymore? when did you fix this? because you explained this to me when i was there to help at Aaron's house doing the rear bearing for matt...
I would not recommend using a money order, easiest way to get burned. Nothing to stop them from running with your money and giving you no wheels and no way to trace them.
ooOOooh..
Well dang. I'm in a bit of a pickle now then because the painter molded the over hang extensions with the side protruding out that far. so trying to cut the hole and pushing the sides in will only make the overhang extension get pushed in as well and it won't be flush with the overhangs.
It's ok then. The painter said he'll fill the underside of that edge with fiberglass, and shave the side some until it's flush with the 1/4 panel while maintaining the extensions flush to the overhangs...
I really don't wanna get another bumper. I love the way it looks with the rest of the car.
But thanks. Now i know...and knowings half the battle.
