Aaron, what has happened for you to say that about subaru? I was really eying an STI but statements like that scurr me!

BTW...For those bikers in here..

The two bikes that peaked my interest were the FZ6R and the Ninja 1000...I was just talking about it Tues and low and behold...Was walking to my car and saw a white one in the very first parking space as if it was meant for me to see. Took a really good look at it and I must say. In person, it's not very pretty. I has disappoint.

Continuing Aaron's statement, I agree that coming from Hondas, Subarus definitely don't have the same quality.

Continuing Jim's statement that was continuing Aaron's, :iagree: .

following all this :iagree: window switch panel on the door broke probably 5+ time while I had the car. whole car is plastic and sub-par parts, both interior and mechanically. Head gasket leak common for decades, awd binds up common, they basically took a good idea and turned it into shit with crappy parts [/rant]

GET OUT OF MY HEAD!
  • Power steering failure began at < 30K. (My own fault for not pursuing warranty repair.)
  • Wheel studs. What are they made of, plastic??
  • Interior plastics. What are they fitted with, a shoehorn and crisco?
  • OEM tires don't fit. Should OEM tires rub around corners? Should bottoming out the suspension result in fender contact?
  • I could think of more, but it's early.

i did not have any of those problems... all of my problems are old subaru problems (prior to toyota buy out)... head gasket... and age. i like the interior of my 04 sti. my wheel studs have been great.. even with track events on them. my oem tires fit fine even with dropped suspension...

For all intents and purposes, you have a completely different car than Jeff (well, Bobbie), James (formerly), and myself.

Hey.. hey.. (Man..I haven't been in the Mid-A HAW thread in ages).....

My coworker is going to DC for a little vacation and had a question about one of the roads.. Can anyone help?

A) I'm directionally challenged
B) I havn't been "home" or to the East Coast for that matter in 5 years...

Directions
Continue onto I-76 E
8. Take exit 161 to merge onto I-70 E toward US-30/Breezewood/Baltimore
9. Turn left to stay on I-70 E (signs for Washington D.C./Baltimore), Entering Maryland
10. Take exit 53 to merge onto I-270 S toward Washington
11. Keep right to continue on I-270 Spur S, follow signs for Interstate 495 S/North Virginia/Washington
12. Merge onto I-495 S
13. Take exit 43-44 for VA-193/George Washington Memorial Parkway/Georgetown Pike toward Great Falls Virginia/Langley/Washington
14. Take exit 43 for Geo Washington Memorial Pkwy toward Washington
15. Merge onto George Washington Memorial Pkwy, Passing through District of Columbia, Entering Virginia
16. Turn left onto Cameron St
17. Take the 2nd right onto N Pitt St
18. Take the 1st left onto King St
Destination will be on the right, Hotel Monaco, 480 King St. Alexandria

Travelling past the Pentagon, Reagan Int’l, etc.. on the Washington Parkway seems like it might take longer and be more congested. Would it make more sense to just stay on 495 and follow it down/around to to US 1/ Richmond Hwy? I could get off at US 1, head north and get to the hotel that way.
