I never use the cruise control, so I can't say I'd miss it. Even when I drove 10 hours to GA I never used the CC. It's just extra weight IMO. No trip computer is a minor inconvenience at most. I dunno, I think they were pretty smart about it.

brought home this beauty yesterday.

Used, MY2008, Ninja250R, 134 miles, 60MPG, very light, super-easy on the insurance, this will be my primary commuter.

I agree, I dont even have CC any more. But i was trying to think from a normal persons point of view.

I use my CC ever time I drive the car... Mostly to avoid another speeding ticket.

Besides, how much can it weigh? Like two pounds? If you are that concerned about weight, quit shoven junk down your neck!
