Interesting that you show that particular photo. See the one on the tie rod? That is the one (on Jeeps, anyway) that usually get sheered off with it rubs on the axle tube.
That is how I learned about it.
The trick is to make sure you align the tie rod correctly when you install it.

Even DSLR bodies run more than that. And I mean just the body... The Rebel XSi is almost $600 without a lens! The XS (as low as I would go) starter kits are almost $500.
If you only want to spend that much money and get a good digital camera, get the Powershot G10...
