Not to mention how resource intensive it would be. Unless there is some unknown-to-us form of super energy (dilithium crystals), its gonna be a looooooong time before we figure it out.

and we would have to hope the theory of relativity is right if there is any hope of getting anywhere past like mars. Unless they want to start a colony on a spaceship.
I actually do think that 90% of the UFO stuff is total
but not because I think we are alone in the universe but because I think that it is unlikely that any being would take the time/expense to find us. Why Earth? There is nothing special here and we have damn near killed the planet.
I most definitely do think that there is intelligent life out there. As Bill pointed out, the universe is just too big. Do the math.
But space travel is hard, expensive, and dangerous. If a race did manage to master it, they are off skimming the really cool stuff. Not messing with us st00pid humans.
Just my $.02.

Theyre would be more if it were easy. Then everyone would be goin to space and there would be a larger market for engineers.

all those statements only apply to our perception of what we deem "possible" if what you 2 say is true then you DON'T believe there is other life out there because by stating that you debunk all UFO sightings labeling them as

I want to believe UFOs are real... that would be awesome.

No, i was just saying we perceive ALL other life to be "super-intelligent"

I am officially VERY angry with myself.
I just finished my taxes and I am actually getting about a $1000 refund.
As far back as I can remember, I have always owed come tax time so I usually wait until the 14th or 15th of April to pay. I prefer to keep my money as long as possible. I actually set aside a fair amount of money to do so again this year.
What I didn't figure in was how badly my investments did. I should have looked at all of my 1099's. It is pretty friggen obvious right there that I wasn't going to owe this year.
Oh well... Live and learn.
