Yup. That is the point, however, they fail more often than not when used a bunch. They're also sensitive to how much torque you apply to them when closing.

I gravity bleed my cluch.

I had to use the bleeder on the Jeep because I had just replaced all the hard lines. There was more air then fluid in there at that point.

That is what I have heard as well. You need to be VERY careful when you install them. IIRC Calvin had a bit of trouble with his.
