yeah he's doing better now, he had "bloat" so we were able to catch it in time. Poor guy looks like frankenstein now with all the staples. What happened with your pup?

Sorry, i don't know what "bloat" is. My dog was thought to have possibly torn the equivalent of its ACL. I waited a few days before taking him to the vet in case he just sprained his hind leg. It didn't get any better, so off to the vet. A couple of days later(5, i think), he's putting pressure on the bum leg.
Bloat is when the stomach twist. Very common in Akitas...what causes it? nobody knows...but It could have been from him gulping down his water and took on a lot of air. His stomach was twice the size and the poor guy was in pain...almost looked like he was having a seizure.
