as for the condo...

had the contractor back to fix up some shitty work done by his sub, sanded enough drywall to choke a horse... soooo many patches in the walls and ceilings thanks to the electricians and so much poorly set corner bead/paper that kept bubbling up

Anyway, got a tons of sanding done, got a good few coats of primer on a good portion of the kitchen and dining room - the most important areas just now... Have a bit more skimcoating and sanding to do tomorrow, as well as painting the kitchen and getting the cabinets in place. The tile guy will be back sunday evening to grout, then tuesday to seal... Electrician to finish up monday, Appliances wednesday, hardwood Thu-Fri-Sat... Hopefully get the countertop guy in next week to build his templates and get that order moving... We're moving on the 8th of January, after which the interior doors will come in, a couple of which need to have the jambs ripped down, then painted. Need to figure out a baseboard, need to stain and seal the french doors when they come in... Still so long to go...

Going to be a busy few weeks, what with all this, the holidays and work. The payoff will be sooo good though

I am thinking of setting my camera up tomorrow on a timer to shoot a pic every 5 minutes as we work... a little time lapse. We'll see...

^ Notice the absence of the word "good" from the above salutation. The roofers still aren't here and no phone call.

Hey, Mr. Jetson. Yeah, it does. It also sucks that I gave a $2k deposit.

Just pulled up my CC statement(deposit done with CC check). Cleared on 12/3.... in Tampa, FL. I'm starting to get really pissed.

Just got off the phone with the guy. "They weren't able to deliver the shingles yesterday." "Yeah, I noticed." "They had a problem with their truck. We're going to tear off the old stuff Sunday and shingle on Monday. It's still going to be nice weather." "I've been waiting... it would have been nice to have received a phone call."

We're off to a great start.
