Funny how the smiley you posted just after Chris quotes how seminal fluid is good for teeth is one showing your pearly-whites? Coincidence? I think not.

Mark, does your IT dept. loan out laptops for travelling employees? How do you handle that? (tracking / scheduling.. etc..)

Also, looking for conference room scheduling tips. Web driven is a plus. If anyone in this thread has something like this in your company... link it!

Morning Aaron.

We keep 3 or 4 for people to borrow when needed. We do it the old fashioned way- sign this form and the sign out sheet. They are locked in my office, actually half the time they are sitting on the floor where anyone can grab them.

Conference room scheduling we use the software we sell -Hotels, Conference centers, restaurants, golf courses, etc. Sorry not web based and it is a pig of an app.

a web based one

Ahh yea easy for only 3-4.. we got about 15+ laptops and 4+ projectors

what about inventory management for your desktops? we were looking at this app http://irm.stackworks.net/ but it's kind of buggy since it doesnt do any input sterilization. (single quotes are apparently not friendly to SQL statements )

I use a database for my inventory. I have had it for 10+ years and just never bothered to switch to anything else.

I guess I could use our a/v inventory software built into the conference portion or the spa or activity scheduler modules of our software but I like my computer too much to load our software on it.

Bummer that they don't trap for the single quotes in their software - pretty common issue though and occasionally one of our programmers doesn't run a new piece of software through the routine to trap for those and change them to something more friendly.
