I admit that my preference of not having a shiny screen is a very individual thing. I honestly cannot say why but I can tell instantly that I am looking at a reflective screen and it really does bother my eyes.

I notice it on laptops, too. I have recently encountered a couple of HP laptops that use this sort of super reflective screen. I really have a hard time with it.
