#!@##261rd Official Hard At Work Thread#@$$&$*#
I'm just trying to figure out why I am wrong for wanting to buy a stone for a ring in which I will use to propose. Engagement rings are not new by any means, and I'm sure the lot of you have purchased them in the past, so why all of a sudden am I "doing it wrong". BTW, not mad, just honestly confused on the subject.
Not to change the topic but...
Benifiber is interesting stuff. You really can mix it into pretty much any kind of soft food or liquid. So far I have put it in tap water, my morning coffee, and yogurt.
I don't think I would know it was there if someone had mixed it for me. I does make the tap water taste a little funky - metallic or salty - but again, if you gave me a glass with and without, not so sure I'd know...

All I'm saying is that you should be an educated consumer and know what you are getting and why you are getting it. A "big" ring ain't all that. It should be the sentiment that the ring symbolizes that is important.
Wanting to get the "ring you can afford" is, perhaps, unnecessary.
Not that I am one to talk because I am pretty much doing the same thing.

No one said you were wrong. We all have or will do it.

Janet didn't get a diamond until marriage year #9. When I did buy her one, I had a cut that I liked. I was all giddy about getting her one, although I really wanted to wait until yr 10. Anyway, I went shopping with her one day- a suprise that is rarer than buying her a diamond. Just ""looking" at rings with her, I quickly came to the understanding that her preference for cut(marquis) was one I abhorred.

It doesn't matter what you want when buying gifts. It's not about what you think you want your/her friends to see. It's about making her happy. And honestly, I think I do not want to be with a woman whose answer to my proposal might hinge on an effin material possession. Buying a ring has zero to do with compatibility or love. It used to be a symbol of ability to take care of a father's daughter. Well, that's all
'cause kids don't even ask for permission to date or marry.Btw, not mad, just honest.
