Hey Skip...glad to hear repairs are on the way

Did you notice any damage from the snapped belt though??
What repairs have begun? How could I notice any damage if I haven't looked at the car since it was garaged on Tuesday?

Skip, that is very possible on the vacuum hose issue, still don't understand how that could cause overheating? May change your mixture, but sudden temp changes. Hmmmmmmmm

Hope it is that simple, and easy to fix. She sure sounded nice.
The bypass valve that comes with the Comptech kit is not a BOV. If the bypass valve were sticking closed instead of releasing under light-to-no throttle, next time the throttle plate opened up for a gulp of air, it would get a huge shot of hot air causing bog(experienced) and possibly even detonation.

As for the vac line, I can't exactly restate what Shad said. Going back to the bypass valve, Shad did say that by opening under non-throttle conditions, it allows(can't remember exactly how) the air to cool. My take on that is that the current cooling system couldn't keep up if in fact it was the bypass valve keeping hot, pressurized air trapped. The fins on the lower half of my radiator are smooshed. I know that doesn't help.

As for the fans, I'll have to check the fuse and the AEM EMS programming.
