A 1911? Those are really nice pistols. Probably the only thing I would trade up my Sig for. They make great carry guns because you can leave them cocked and locked without fear of shooting yourself when you draw.

:jealous: I've never actually shot one. One does not usually see them in the rental box.

The dude that taught the last class I took (as well as the range safety officer) both had Kimbers. Beyond just being GREAT pistols, the are really attractive, too. The wood grips are very nice...

They have 1911's in the rental box at the range near me. It's a long haul from where you are though.
