They used aluminized steel piping, and sometimes used Magnaflow mufflers, It depended on what version it was.

Spugen was the Marketing name from a socal "Anthony's muffler shop" The ones that I heard years ago were all loud, and I hate aluminized steel piping, especially in areas where road salt is used.
