Kind of confused by your "left steer, steering wheel on the right side" comment. Do you mean left shift?
In Europe they drive on the other side of the road, hence LEFT steer. So you would be curbing driving it in the US.

Ah, wasn't sure what you had meant by that. Did not realize you were speaking of the actual driving location, on which side of the road.
