Great price on gfactor's AP1 wheels / RA-1's too. If DBR weren't this weekend, I'd jump all over that.

I'm sure those pads are fine. They compound is more than likely quite a bit more important.
I thought I knew a lot about detailing... I spent a lot of time washing, waxing, cleaning, etc. my old car...

BUT...

After that cd they handed out at the Nor'Easer (see the current s2ki homepage), I realized I didn't actually know what I was doing...

OCD? Not even close...

Don't get me wrong, I am pretty happy with what I can do with my car. I like the results just fine. I just had no idea how far one could actually take it...

Yea you gotta know what compounds to use with what pad to get the desired result. A rotary buffer works the best. I don't know if you all saw Tep's spoiler when I was done with it on Mod Day but yea, I used a rotary buffer on it and it gleamed.

I did not see it... That was actually the first time I have ever met Evan...

So, it's all about the product, then...

I am a fairly die hard fan of Meguiars, but only because it is SO easy to work with and the results are pretty good. But after seeing what can be done with the proper know-how, I am anxious to "take it up a notch."

They sure are a lot cheaper than AP2 wheels. And so are 16" tires vs. 17". If you are going to track you're car, you should jump on those.

I agree with you completely. It just isn't financially possible at the moment.

Besides, someone always has a set of AP1 rims for sale... There will be others

Then you're using the wrong Meguiars.

All companies have different levels of waxes, polishes, blah blah blah.. it's just how much more you are wiling to pay to use the best.
