Default Fallout 3

Picked this game up a couple weeks ago, and I'm absolutely hooked. I've been pretty wrapped up in COD 4 and 5, but this game is just a whole other level.

Thought I'd make a thread to see which way people went in the game, good, bad, etc... I pretty much went the horrible way. I kill everything, steal everything, etc. Just passed level 10 last night.

Post up the direction you took, and any helpful hints.

I played all the way through it as a good guy. Don't remember much of it, but it is an awesome game even though Jeff will argue that it is the worst thing ever to happen to mankind.

Best game EVAR!!!

Seriously its my favorite game. I played the whole game being as good as possible, I feel bad if I do bad stuff.

I recently started playing the last DLC, they are all worth buying. It just sucks I've spent over $100 on this game.

Can you buy the expansions anytime through the game, or do you have to beat it first?

You can buy them whenever. They usually show up as like a new radio signal or something. Broken steel actually changed the ending so you can keep playing after you beat it and ups the level cap to 30. Without it, once you beat the game, thats it you are done.

i rented this and it was totally not what i was expecting. i was expecting more of a FPS tyle action rpg, and found it to be, more boring than i originally thought.
should i stop being a baby and give it another try?

Yes, give it another try. I've become completely HOOKED on this game. I've always played games like Call of Duty 4 and 5, cause I loved the instant gratification. Fallout 3 does take some time to get used to, especially some of the work it requires(like talking to people and searching for things).

Rented it. Beat it. I didn't know there were expansions. The power armor is pretty sweet. Also pretty cool running around with a giant mutant with a gattling laser as my sidekick.
