plasma's not going to be good quality at 42"?? I've heard that both the Panasonic and Samsung are very good for the money.
I really don't like LCD. |

I'm just saying. I remember looking at the Samsung 40" plasma (or 42"?) and the actual resolution was low compared to their lcd.

ah yeah. i'm looking at probably the 1300x768-ish resolution. Should be more that sufficient for a bedroom TV. Hell, I'd buy one used if I could be confident of its quality... Maybe BB will have some open box items after the super bowl :D

ah yeah so they are :ponder:

DO IT!
I ended up going to a Samsung 46" LCD. I have a lot of ambiant light that I cannot control, so plasma was out right there. They suggested I hook it up to make sure it was working right, so I fired up COD right away with the TV just sitting on the floor. :D I have MORE than double the ammount of glass in front of me now, and my score was up in all three of the games I played. It makes a MONSTROUS difference! :woot2: Yeah, I have payments now, and it is more than $15 /mo. However, it is less than $85 a month. I will just setup an automatic, reoccuring payment from my bank, and it will be fine. $85 a month won't make a dent in my budget, so I am not worried about it. |
