I beg to differ. They lose value really fast unless you put on a bunch of add ons.
I have owned more than 15 different motorcycles since 1982, I think I have a bit more experience than you.

Always buy used for your first bike, you will likely drop it at some point.

Use the thousands saved to buy all the other stuff you need, good riding gear, tools, riding lessons etc.

Used bikes usually can be sold in the same range they were purchased for, unless you crash it.

Never said you didn't. Just tellin you my view from the insurance side of things. Sport bikes depreciate faster than Cruisers do.

A 3-6 year old sport-bike is still a awesome performing machine. Finding one that is not crashed or squidded up is the challenge here.

That's what I am thinking about as a used bike, not a 07 CBR.

It's funny because people call me telling me they added on 10-15,000 of chrome on their bikes. Sometimes the accessories are worth more than the bike. I ask myself why did you do that.

SV650s are not comfortable at all. They pretty much have a semi aggressive riding stance. the sv650n on the other hand is comfortable.

I own a sv650s and am a beginner.

Here is a good example.

2004 YAMAHA YZFR6, MINT condition, limited edition in Liquid silver with black flames. It is a one owner, adult owned with only 2800 miles. It has never been down and there's not a scuff, scratch, chip, ding or dent to be found anywhere on it. The only flaw is where my sneaker touched the exhaust a little, and it's barely noticeable. It looks and runs like brand new and has been kept in my garage, under a cover since new. Please contact me through e-mail for details. $3800, 703-468-1405
