There is a very, very good chance that I'll be joining the Army in the next month or 2. Took my ASVAB today, got a 96 on my AFQT, and passed my physical just fine. I'm thinking cryptologic linguist (98G), intelligence analyst (96B), or counterintelligence agent (97B). Anyone have any experience in these fields?

Just wanted to say thanks to those of you I knew well (especially Dom and John), and it's a shame I didn't meet more of you.

 

those definitley sound like some great fields, definitley something that will benefit you if you decide to get out, wouldnt be able to give you info though(navy, f/a-18 painter ) good luck

 

I'm currently in the AF. Getting out soon as well. I was recently deployed for 9 months with the Army for a convoy operations. I think those jobs sound very good but can be dangerous as well.

Just to let u know good luck and god speed. If you have a choice and don't want to get shot/blown up as much try to go see a AF recruiter. (my 2cents)

I considered the AF before. I have a GED, so they won't take me. And they also do not allow you to choose your MOS.

I enlisted on Monday, set to ship out July 10th. Not going to lie, I'm having some second thoughts. I do have until my ship date to reconsider, I'm currently in the DEP.
