Default Mylo users?

Considering picking one of these up. I am constantly on the run and have the ever continuing need to stay connected to the world. Yea, Yea, I know. I'm a gadget geek.

Anyone here have one or used one? Wondering if its worth the buy. They are going for $350 and dell has a mail in $50 rebate on them and I have a 10% coupon they just sent me which will bring it down to about 270 shipped to the door. Just curious what you guys think before I bite the bullet.

Well they just released a firmware update that supposedly fixed a lot of bugs, its been out since last august I believe. I wanted to check one out in person before I buy one, its supposed to be like an ipod on steroids (video/music) also surfs the net and allows IM using googletalk, yahoo, skype etc. Only downside is there is no support for AIM as of yet and there is no email client installed (like outlook). I think I might hold off on buying one until AIM is supported. I can always use my Blackberry for my email so im not really that worried about it. My old ipod is quite out of date (gen 2 I think, before the photo ipods came out). I was going to get a video ipod but I saw this and thought it would be better.

www.mylo.com check it out.

well what do you want it for?

there are some likely less expensive PDAs that you can, say, install linux on and have a lightweight fully functional multiuse PDA w/video, audio, email, etc etc... and not be locked into the features of something like this, waiting for firmware upgrades... Just a thought.

Well something to replace my ipod mainly, but the internet features are a plus since an Ipod can't do everything that Mylo can.

I bought a Dell PDA for my Dad for fathers day a couple years back and I was toying with it. Not really "up my alley" if you know what I mean.

I already have a blackberry for my constant connection, I'm anxiously awaiting the curve when it comes out in a month or so. But the Mylo would just be another add on to my bundle of gadgets mainly to replace the Ipod.

BTW, i'm a Sony junkie at heart.

My arsenal
- DSCW7 (Silver)
- DSCW80 (Black)
- 60" 3LCD HDTV
- VIAO Laptop (although I prefer my Dell M1210 to it)
- PSP
- PS3

Sony only represents about a 1/4 of the electronic crap I have crowding my house.

This would just be one more to throw onto the pile, lol.
