my font options, for your perusal... I suggest one "wacky" font for NERD, while RACING takes a more traditional approach, not necessarily pictured here.
Thanks, Chris.

I like the distressed fonts, however, actually applying them in vinyl form might not be the easiest. I am looking for on the lettering, but still has to be somewhat manageable for a novice vinyl-applier.

That goofy dude is in! The other one had too much in the way of flesh tones- doesn't jive with the black, grey, silver, and hint of red theme.

As for the colors for NERD_R, NERD should be the attention grabbing color and the Racing should be second fiddle.

Perhaps having the "goofy" dude on the back only would be best. That way I don't have to look at his goofy face all weekend long at the track!

Added:

As folks drive up on me and begin to pass, they'll see the dude and the words Never-Ending Racer Development." It won't be until they're alongside of the trailer will they realize the acronymn- N.E.R.D.

Not sure if you can work with this one or not.

While you guys are at it, you should consider smaller versions for the... um... associate members.

    Whomever they may be...

So far, this one is my favorite. Less the "nerd." I definitely agree with Skip there...

Maybe this N.E.R.D. font with the "Racing" font from Bill's effort???

    Dunno... Just my $.02...

Keep up the good work, though. In my opinion, y'all are headed in the right direction!

The above font reminds me of the Fox motorcycle gear logo.

Skip -- how about documenting the ideas for the site here too?

    - event calendar
    - photo gallery
    - driver bios
    - videos
    - tech articles / write-ups
    - sponsors
    - race results

I wrote down two fonts that might work- dunno: Marvelouz and Stamped from the above site.

Aaron, that's a great start on the add'l stuff.
