tranny.......is shot.........found good used one.........from a 2003...only 5900 miles on it... only 250 from junk yard........WIN

i fit the s2k trans in the trunk of the s2k before but not sure how big the tranny is for that maxima

yea... B n T charges 500 to do the job... i guess thats a good deal..

i never messed with an Auto tranny... always did manual swaps.

Hate to say this, Allan, but that seems a little low for a junkyard. Proceed cautiously.

It's not an S tranny. Back to hole I'll go.

its actually not that big.. its more of a boxier kinda of tranny.. its shorter than the s2000 tranny..

the tranny is being shipped from north carolina to the shop... just gonna do it at B and T...

it does sound low...

i get everything from Car-parts.com... there are a WHOLE bunch of trannies with around 22k-50k miles for around 200 bucks or less....

i was inded surprised to find this one... but they said they have a few and not many sold. they warrenty for a year they said so its worth the shot.

Oi, I added the whole "not an S tranny." I have know idea what a transmission costs for the car you need it for. My response was based on an S2000.

I forget that these things are relatively light weight. I have only ever played with pick-up and Jeep trannys before. I helped a very good friend of my brother-in-law do an engine swap on his F-150 many moons ago and I was assisting on an engine swap in an XJ just a few weeks ago.

Other than fluid changes, those are the only times I have ever had hands on a tranny. Not much experience, I guess.
