Chad, although I am always right and you wrong, thank you for bringing this to Inline's attention.

I'll let John explain the situation to you - however a brief summary is that the 3mm gasket Inline sells is different from that of Lovefab. Lovefab uses an old design 4 Layer Cometic while Inline uses a custom design 3mm gasket. Atleast this is what I was told by Ya.

Hey, you know I'm always messin' with ya.

Okay, then what's the difference between the 2mm gaskets?

Which reminds me... gotta go out to the garage and get the Cometic packaging... brb.

He didn't say - when I told him that his pricing is in the $300's he immediately spoke of their custom design 3mm gasket. Since last night on the phone you had spoke of possibly switching to a 3mm for 'less power yet more reliability' I figured that Stan probably just quoted you on that, versus a 2mm.

Perhaps Stan did give an inaccurate quote on the 2mm gasket. However, with the way things sound - it seems that Inline had Cometic fix the leaking problem with a custom 3mm gasket, yet the 2mm gasket may still be the old design. Not too sure... asking Ya now.

Okay... Cometic Part #H2089 .074" head gasket

Conversion of 0.074 inch = 1.879 6 millimeter

According to John, the 3mm gasket was never changed at Cometic. The only change occurred to the 2mm design.

Not too sure then. From the way it sounds, the following gaskets exist : Cometic 2mm, Cometic 3mm, and InlinePro 3mm. The Inline Pro 3mm Gasket is actually built by Cometic, however it was designed by John and the team at Inline Pro.

If this is true, I wonder why Stan quoted you that price on a 2mm.

Again, according to John, they originally designed the 2mm. At some point Cometic made it like the gaskets for the muscle cars. Failures started and they finally switched back to the original Inline design. All this is according to John.
