Is it me or does it feel like we're heading into Fall already? It has been waaaaay too nice out for August. It was like August happened in July.

On top of that, I was looking outside this morning and all the vegetation in my neighborhood is turning fall colors already. Leaves are littering the yards and streets, and the grass isn't gorwing as fast.

I can't remember an August in Virginia Beach that didn't have a week or two of over 100 degree nastiness. I can't believe I'm thinking August has been the nicest weather month of the year so far.
Part of the leaves turning(some are here as well) is due to the lack of r@!n this year. When there is not enough water, the fall colors will not be as vibrant nor will they last very long.

I live in a Condo Association neighborhood, and there are sprinklers that come on religiously. The sprinklers soak the crap out of everything - including a freshly washed car on Saturday

I definitely buy the "no-water" theory Skip (except for my hood), but where are the hot and humid August days?

I have seen many trees in our neighborhood dropping leaves, the damn tree looks dead. The two weeks of heat and no rain I assume.

Evan, the tank I was referring to is the Chrysler 300 they gave me to drive while my car is in the shop. It is huge.
I've test driven the Chrysler 300 twice now and I it. It's between that (Touring edition) or the Honda Ridgeline for me right now. I just don't think I can beat the Ridgeline price, compared to the price of the C 300.

Man if you only knew... jezzz I cannot believe how fvcked up this year has been, but on the good news side, I see light at the end of the tunnel.

Or is it the light that I shouldn't follow???

If the tunnel is dark and damp, enter it.

Yea, I just mulched again. I've been watering more often now.

Not only are we having a fairly dry summer, last winter was very dry as well. Cold and dry = winter drought.

You aren't joking - today at noon I left to go grab a bite to eat, the sprinklers were on. I think they are set to turn on for a few minutes twice a day.
