I understand the bored part, but that is becuase you stayed home and did work, etc. had you gone to the Islands or something you would have been more likely not to be bored. 
I need one of those trips again soon. Mid May down to the Keys again, taking customers fishing.

Congrats on the last year, I hope it passes easily and quickly. Then I am sure you life will become more rewarding and enjoyable. My cousin said he almost quit the last year of residency, but after he finished he decided it was all worth it.
