Need some opinions.

I want to put DuPont's laminate flooring down in my kitchen (over the white vinyl flooring) and I can't decide which one to go with. Right now the counter tops are white, but I'm going to change it to a dark graphite-ish looking tops down the road. My cabinets are a light wood, but I'm going to stain them to be a little more orangey - like the upper portion of this:

The walls are red. Here are the flooring choices:

1.

2.

3.

4.

Alex you are going to need some contrast in there and if everything is going dark then lighten up with the floor.

I agree. Not only that, but unless your kitchen is as big as the rooms pictured and seemingly flooded with ambient light, those selections will never give you the same look/feel in your application.

I have looked at the laminate "slate"-look floors in person twice now, and they don't come off as nice as they do in pictures. Plus I just discovered a big box of wood slats leftover from the wood jobs in two other rooms......I've decided to put hardwood laminate floors down in the kitchen to warm things up. With the leftover materials downstairs the project should cost me about $200.

I'll probably do that and leave things alone in there for a little while. With the wood floors the cabinets and countertops still work ......and I'm running short on money

Thanks for the inputs Mark, Steve, and Skip.......thanks for nuthin' Chad
