Dan... Look into the BB fees that Sprint charges. IIRC, it is north of $50 a month JUST FOR THE E-MAIL!
I have a treo 700 with windows mobile and I LOVE IT. Until recently, I had the unlimited data plan that was a whopping $15 a month. I only canceled it because I wasn't using it. It worked awesome. The e-mail interface is pretty much the same as MS Outlook. If you are used to that, you should be fine.
The choice for me was a no brainer because of the cost. While I do use my phone for work, I pay the bills...

Damn crackheads.Dan,
If you want RELIABLE email delivery and a solid device the BB Curve is the way to go period. Also the curve uses a new software upload interface which includes Roxio so uploading media files is even easier.
As far as cost, yes some carriers like Sprint charge big bucks for BB service. I do know of one that charges a TON less... but hey thats just me
hey chris
i can't switch from sprint unfortunately since i'm less than a year into my 2 year contract on my nextel. i did see a brochure at the sprint store that the data plan for BB's is only $30 eventhough the site says $50 so i'm checking into that. my buddy runs a sprint store in westminster, so i'm waiting for him to tell me. if he doesn't find out, i'll just call them....wish they had the curve too, but since they don't, i think the 8830 is my best bet
.....it's funny seeing gung-ho BB users who hate anything not BB and Q users want nothing to do with the BB, but the think the overall majority is going the crackberry route
i guess i was trying to see if peoples recommendations and opinions on the Q would far outweigh the BB since the Q does have a few more extra's than the BB. but still this decision does come down to which is more efficient for what i need, which i'm thinking is the 8830.
i guess the only thing that would pull me towards the Q would be if i get the same data plan features for much cheaper than the BB network....

Blackberry.
have fun with your tinker toy phones boys....
Dan, I have Nextel as well. I have the Unlimited BB plan through them, I pay $39.99/month. Although it is probably cheaper through them now because I got that deal when I signed with them a LONG time ago. Thank god my contract ends at the end of the year, then I am switching. btw, Why don't you start a Poll?
GL with whatever you buy.

Also Dan,
I don't know how long you are willing to wait but the new BB 9k Series is rumored for next year (Q1). Said to be better than the Iphone in more than one respect.
I'm on the list if the specs stay true.
