The Wolfgang kit I saw came with the 6.5" pads which I think are too big for the porter cable and I didn't like the choice of pads it came with. It came with one that I thought was more aggressive than you'd need unless you have really bad paint and I don't remember the other.

I guess I just really like the stuff I have to use.

What type of products and pads are you using?

Most of the kits I've been looking at come with an orange pad, white pad, and gray pad(applying sealants/waxes).

I know the yellow pads have a pretty hefty cut to them. I'm even questioning if I'll need to use the orange pad. I'm not trying to take any big scratches out, just bring some gloss out and get rid of some light swirls and water etching.

I use green pads for the correction with menzerna super intensive polish and blue pads for the finer polish. It's also menzerna but I can't remember it's actual name. Works great and has always left a swirl free finish. I do have an orange and yellow pad if it's really bad but I've hardly used them.

I just do wax by hand.

No problem, that's what friends are for . I was sorta 50-50 on it until vbb found a Suzuka top not too far away. So glad I took the leap.

Well, I just got done ordering it from Hardtopguy. It'll probably be a while before I see it though. I think it's going to take at least a week to get to his place in Ohio, then shortly after that he'll be making his way down here to deliver and install it.

Can't wait!

Awesome! I've never seen an LBP w/a hardtop.

I actually popped mine off today for some fall convertable weather.

The one dilemma is going to be if I should pull the tape or not...

Keep the windshield tape. I think it looks better even with a color matched top.
