What I did was to loosen the front and rear fasteners normally, then pick up one side of the top, lift and slide it back a bit so the rear peg is sitting behind the hole it's supposed to drop into. Do the same on the other side, then grab the front of the top and lift it up and back until the whole thing is vertical and resting on the rear glass. The rubber seal on the base will hold the glass off the rear deck. While holding the top vertical, rotate it sideways, then grab both sides at the curve for the door windows, lift and carry it off the car. At this point I should say that the glass on the OEM top is glued in without any mechanical fasteners, so it may not be a good idea to regularly stress that bond. Once or twice a year, and only resting it on the glass momentarily should be okay.

This may not be feasible if you have short arms, and it won't work with the Mugen top since that has a frame around the bottom of the rear window. Although, you may be able to fold a blanket or towel and drape that over the rear deck to protect it.

Just ordered a bunch of detail stuff The weather is getting nicer and it's time to get this new s2000 looking fresh. It's got a bunch of minor surface scratches and little things that will come out with a good detail. Just have to find the time and knock it out. I tested a spot on the back of the trunk and I'm pleased with the results. I can't wait for the rest of the car to look that good

Hey guys anyone have any experience with the timing chain tensioner? I noticed mine was leaking a little bit of oil and I am looking to replace it ASAP. I've heard of people rebuilding them? And people upgrading to the Inline Pro version:

http://www.inlinepro.com/s1/p-158-in...tensioner.aspx

They are $120ish for the entire assemble from Majestic Honda. I was wondering if anyone had any advice? How often do these things 'go out' and is it worth the upgrade / downtime to upgrade to the Inline Pro one? My S2000 is my daily driver so I really need a "quick" but solid fix on this.

Thanks!

Easy fix. 10 minutes tops to replace. An OEM will be just fine.
