It is a total toss up between Dulles and BWI as far as distance from Harpers Ferry, but if you arrive around commuting hours, Dulles works better as BWI is WAY out of my way...

Are you thinking of bringing your wife with you? NM - Just re-read your post.

I am sure that w1ngy would understand if I need to

him from the guest room for the evening... I hope...

The futon will not work if she comes with you.

I am sure I can make it work however y'all decide to do it.
