Default AP2 wheels...

So has anyone switched to AP2 wheels on their AP1 and notice that the car just doesn't feel as nimble as it did with the original wheels? Sure looks nice, though...

Maybe it's the tires.

Probably due to the higher polar moment of inertia from larger tires and wheel diameter.

bingo! that's part of why the suspension is modified between ap1/ap2

ap2 v2 wheels are heavier than the v1's but they should still make the car faster around a track as proven on a bmi vid.

Yeah, I was quite suprised how much wider the tires were. The rears especially. Both were 245's.

Anyway..I'm already used to it. I do notice ton's more grip and the tire's are not even broken in yet.

The stock S0-2 rear tires on ap1 wheels, although they say 225, are actually a 245 width, while the fronts are a true 205. The funny thing is with the new tires on the ap2 wheels, the rear 245 is a true 245, while the front 215 is overstated and is more like a 205. Funny isn't it?

Another thing I notice. The car doesn't "squirm" when making wide sweeping turns on agressive trottle.

Eh..I like it.
