Default This Blows

This really sucks!!!!!!!!!! As Chance and I were going to town today, everything was normal then all of a sudden my S got extremely loud.... so loud it was popping my ears at only 2000rpms..... So I pulled over and looked under the S and OMG my test pipe was cracked in half WTF so now my S sounded like a damn V8 I was like shit I need to get home ASAP before somthing falls off I tell you on the freeway it was so loud I couldnt even hear my self think......... Chance told me to try and punch it hahaha so stupid as I am, I did I thought somthing was gonna explode... I know where this might have started from. When I took Chance to Ice Palace, I didnt know they put those huge a$$ speed bumps and I thought I could clear it pretty good.... but nope I hit one really hard under the S. I think it cracked the pipe and I didnt know it till now..... My poor baby gonna have to buy a new one now. I will take it off when the car cools down and see how bad it is.

wow!! that sucks. when you said the speed bumps were big at icepalace, i didn't think they were THAT big.

anyway, did it crack right at the resonator/weld area? i was thinking that was the weakest part of the test pipe. and when Mice and me were ordering ours from a-jracing, we were wondering if the resonated test pipes were going to hold up to that much heat. not many cars throw down 240hp per header. anyway if you order another, i recommend a non resonated one. elicit's got one on hers and the sound level is minimal.

good luck.

call me if you need help with anything.

Ice Palace has some of the biggest speed bumps I've ever seen. I used to worry about high centering on them when I drove my lowered 2nd GEN eclipse....

Was this stock suspension or did you lower it? I wonder if I have to worry about this problem with my stock 05.

yea redline rear diff/trans fluid is too thin you need to add like a lucus aditive if your gonna use redline or you may damage some syncros alot of s2k guys I know just stick to honda trans fluid with mobile one rear diff fluid... honda uses some cheap as s one like 3 bucks a qt.

Carbon Synchros came online in 2004, she has triple cone brass synchros for 2nd and 3rd.
