Default Blue Tooth HU

I'm thinking of getting a HU with BT built-in or getting one of those adapters that will work with my Pioneer HU.

Anybody here have any experience with these? Is it even workable in S with an exhaust that's slightly louder than stock? At highway speeds? Mahalo.

Thanks. That's what triggered my inquiry in the first place. I believe it's still on Mufi's desk, but I hear he's pretty much gonna sign it.

I actually want a new HU with the BT built-in, but I may just try the adapter Pioneer offers for its HU's - it's like $100 so it's not that costly of an experiment. But I get the feeling it's not gonna work well in most conditions for me.

Yah, I hear ya, esp with top down..gets rather noisy.

Its a shame speech to text isn't smooth lol.

I kinda want to try the costco portable blue tooth car set, that way if ya don't like it, return it.

Imo, it'll only work in a somewhat more quiet environment, i.e. Lexus, etc

I do have a bt pioneer head unit in my car. It actually works pretty good top up or down. I talk a little louder so people can hear me top down on the h3, but so far no real complaints. I can turn my speakers up fairly loud to hear them, and it pauses my music when my phone rings and I never have to pull my phone out of my pocket to answer it. I also have a t1r v3 70mm which is supremely loud exhaust so I am not talking stock volumes here......

I have the JVC DVD unit and it is hit/miss with my BT. With the top up, it works decently, but with the top down at highway speeds, forget about it.

really? Its definitely not as good with the top down but still better than using a phone in my hand. Where do you have the mic mounted?? Mine is top of the driver side a piller.

Plus I can blast my speakers to hear what anyone is saying....

hearing folks isn't to much of an issue.

I have my mic mounted on the driver side sun visor. You think I should move it down?
