Default Clutch Fluid bleeding..

Jeezus, thanks for pointing out my dirty clutch fluid Collen(sp?)...I was wondering why I couldnt ever get the balance right..I was like wtf? I drove stick for the last 6 years, why the hell am I close to stalling/chirping/all manners of bad stick driving when I drive this car?!

Turns out my clutch fluid was BLACK.

check it out:

Thats everything I bled..! The fluid was so dirty you cant even see through it! The slave cylinder would sometimes stick and not 'let go' for a while so thats why I got so close to stalling all the time.. (i think??)

Took it out for a spin right after the bleeding/flushing.. HOLY SH*T night and DAY. The car feels so much better/shifts better I can actually rev-match now..

ok. that is all...for all you 01- owners...might wanna check your clutch fluid too.

Yeah...the clutch fluid doesn't stay clean long either. I try to replace the clutch fluid every 6 months.

ohh... I swear it was cleaner when I bought the car..but I guess it was that it was sitting for a while...so when I bought it and started DDing it, it just cleaned the inside of all the sludge....? idk!

mine was just as black and still works fine. is your clutch still sticky? lots of times it's actually the clutch slave actuating rod that's worn. it wears to the shape of the clutch fork and needs to be cleaned and polished.

Betty's car was doing the same, getting stuck at the end of the pedal stroke and not coming back up quickly. i pulled the rod. sanded it smooth and it's been great for the last 20K

The clutch deff feels waay better...I actually have control of the clutch now...

Cool, I should probably do the shaving of nipples
