Default engine starting badly

all right, well not badly badly, but once in a blue moon, it'll sound like it's not gonna start up, like it's trying really hard to start up and then it'll start. every other time, it'll start up really quick, like how it's supposed to. anyone ever encounter this? i mean, this car is only about a month old, it's not supposed to do that right?

sorry, can't ever really explain myself really good.

Hot or cold? Cold starts are usually faster than hot starts cause the fuel in the lines sometimes "boils" off. Also cold starts have a different fuel map. FWIW, the car is under warranty, you could take it in and have service look at it. Having said that, I'd guess you'd quickly get frustrated because they will have a hard time duplicating the problem. I always remind myself that I'm driving a car with one of the highest specific outputs in any production car. It is a little "high strung" and it's not a Civic (thank god).

haha that's so funny! well now that you mention it, yes i don't think i've ever seen that happen during a cold start. it jus happened when i went to costco, i had come home at about 545, and the car was sitting til about 730.

yup, i doubt they would be able to reproduce the problem, since it's been more than a week that this happened. but i guess, has this happened to you before??

Um I guess, it's happend with all my cars at one time or another. This includes my Celica GT, Corolla SR-5, Celica GT-S, MR-2 Supercharged, MR-2 Turbo, Integra GS-R an d the two S2000s. They all start differently from time to time. IMO nothing to worry about.
