Default Feeding WFO ....

Taking the wife and our two little boys to Oahu next Monday for a week. Heard good things about the Crouching Lion Inn dinner , and Diamondhead Grill (plate lunches). Are these places any good ? Any other suggestions, we try and stay away from Waikiki for food if we can. We try and visit the islands a couple times a year and it never occurred to me to use this as a resource.

it's actually diamond head grill and market on monsarat. don't get it confused with the one in the W hotel. my friends cousin owns that place and i can say i've sampled everything.

if they have the okinawan sweet potato salad in the deli definately get that.

yama's fish market if you want some really good haupia and they have okay hawaiin food too. it's on young street.

have fun!

Go to the Crouching Lion for dinner, order the Slavonic Steak. It's awesome! It is cooked right in front of you at your table. You can either sit inside of the restaurant or out on the lanai overlooking the ocean. (Lanai sitting fill up fast.)Travel time is about a 45 min to an hour drive out of Waikiki.

Lunch is also served there, but too many tour buses stop there for lunch.
Aloha,
Mike

You guys are nuts , we stopped off at Costco today near the Dole Cannery. The line to get gas was about 50 cars deep. Dang!

yea everyone here flips out over gas prices. i used to only fill up at costco, but nowadays the crowd is so ridiculous. its not worth 20 minutes of my time to buy gas there to only save a couple bucks.
