That is why we have to put popcorn or bubble wrap on products. Trust me if you had a business you will not charge flat rate for everything. It will take you forever to ship things and sometimes you are not able to get away with things. It will be a pita. You have to add tracking and delivery conformation too. Don't even forget about waiting at the post office.

Tracking and delivery confirmation is free if you print out the label. Its the same exact thing like UPS or Fedex Software.
Also, USPS can pick up the packages at your business for FREE and if you are going to the post office, all post offices have a separate line or window just for Pre Paid packages.
Hey Dennis, I was pleased with my purchase plus shipping price, 2nd day air is always a good thing too, even tho it may take more then 2 days. Thought your customer service was great, answered a lot of my questions and even got me to purchase something else. I'll let you know when I recieve my order. Someone has to make money somewhere in the transaction so I fully understand.

I'm all for capitalism but I agree trying to make money on shipping charges is a poor business practice.
A few years back I ordered Tein coilovers from Carson Toyota and was charged $75/UPS. I've ordered an assembled road bike from Rivendell and was charged $200/ UPS.
Amazingly I've been quoted close to $200 shipping for a set of coilovers for this car. I could see if the vendor has to go out of their way to find a shipper but we're talking standard shipping companies that they already have a relationship with.
As a caveat I have purchased in the past from Evasive and was pleased with the transaction and shipping (USPS) charges which I thought were very fair.
