Had Rays today for brunch. Yum. Trying find the good local places. Trying stay away from the tourism.
Spotted a ssm with a kit possible widebody. Went by real quick. We were headed to costco by the airport.

Giovanni's is probably your best bet. I've also eaten at Romy's and Famous Kahuku Shrimp. All were good to me to be honest. For shave ice, expect a long line at Matsumotos especially since Aoki's closed down. There's also construction going on (I'm actually a subcontractor on that project) so parking and traffic will be crazier than usual.

Went to rainbows our first night. Was pretty good.
Might try mitsuken if we have time. Looks good too. Hows Helena's? Read some good stuff about that place?
