Had Rays today for brunch. Yum. Trying find the good local places. Trying stay away from the tourism.

Spotted a ssm with a kit possible widebody. Went by real quick. We were headed to costco by the airport.

Giovanni's is probably your best bet. I've also eaten at Romy's and Famous Kahuku Shrimp. All were good to me to be honest. For shave ice, expect a long line at Matsumotos especially since Aoki's closed down. There's also construction going on (I'm actually a subcontractor on that project) so parking and traffic will be crazier than usual.

Dang your right. Traffic was pretty bad. Was raining pretty hard so just ended up going to Giovanni's then hitting up a few beaches down the road a bit.

Might try mitsuken if we have time. Looks good too. Hows Helena's? Read some good stuff about that place?

Just hand helenas at work today. If you're craving that kind of stuff in kalihi, there is also Nico's, Monnarchs, and Alicia's Market.
