How flat was it when you noticed it? If the sidewalls were compressed a lot, the tire is trash. Is it even repairable? If you think it is, get one of those home tire repair kits, they really work. In the package will be about 5 of these brown stick-like things, and a tool. The instructions are pretty straightforward. I've done it before to my tires and it stays in there and is good as new afterwards. But if you were driving on the sidewalls, then get a new tire.

I think any auto parts store would carry it, or maybe even walmart, longs, etc.

yeah auto stores tend to be really expensive

hopefully its not on the walls of the tires cuz not only do you have to trash that tire you have to trash the opposite side

Correct me if I'm wrong but looking at the pic, the head of the nail is pointing in the direction of tire rotation, which seems to be the wrong way if you ran over it while traveling forward. Did you happen to first reverse your car when you started on your trip home?

Maybe it's just paranoia on my part, a few weeks ago my passenger window was busted for no apparent reason other than vandalism.
