Does ur key have the auto trunk pop?

Did u try jiggling the trunk? Because the latch could be adjusted... So u might have to fidget with everything

Is the trunk open line not connected?

In that case u might have to gp through the spare tire space right under ur soft top. Either that or i think u gotta somehow disengage the latch for the trunk. Sorry man... Hopefully soneone else can chime in wit wat to do

not sure what you can do to release the trunk. if the trunk release is not hooked up, there should be a manual way to release it
if i was you, i would have a lock installed so i wouldn't have to deal with it. gl!

When you use the button on the remote, does the trunk latch make any kind of noise like its trying to release or none at all? If none at all, then it might be some kind of security feature or "passive arming & disarming" type of feature that you may have programmed on accident by touching a combination of buttons. Check your alarm handbook 1st

^^I was assuming you have an aftermarket alarm. If not, then I dont know if there is a "passive" feature for any of the buttons. If its not hooked up to the button in the glove box, then you gotta start taking out panels to get to the cable on the deck lid. That's gonna be a tough one since there isnt much free space to work in back there

you can access the fuel pump from the front. you just have to remove your seats, secret compartment, roll bars and soft top tray.
btw there are two bolts holding the secret compartment in place from the rear. if you end up doing this, you should be able to access the trunk latch as well. gl!
