so anyone have any tips on driving for me? I find myself getting extremely nervous before I even get in the car...its the same feeling you get when you're about to take a test or something...

i dont get nervous when i know there isnt going to be traffic on the road but i have to fight traffic everyday at 4:30pm to get to work from liliha to kahala.

i know this sounds a bit stupid but tips would be helpful..i know i gotta calm down but i cant really do that..i honestly freak out when there are too many people on the road especially in stop and go traffic..

of course all of the fear goes away once im cruising again..its just all the stop and go i have to deal with...
so yea, any of you guys know of any tips to calm my nerves?

^^good music always helps. I try to minimize the amount of stop and go I do in traffic. if I'm only going to move up a few feet just to come to a complete stop again, I usually just wait for the next move. people probably hate me for it but that's what i do.

 

wat kind of nervous is it? like ur not a good manual driver... or just in general, ur nervous about driving the car?

i agree with cheehee^^ music is a key. but also have confidence lol. something i realized once i got the s is that it's a great and well known car. no matter stock or not, the car will turn heads, along with the fact that its a discontinued car.

or maybe on the next meet u join up with a group of us, and drive a bit to get used to the feeling more and more. hoenstly as time goes and u continue to drive the car, you will feel confortable.

wait till u start modding the thing heavily haha. when i started, i was realll nervous haha

 

If the cars in front of me are crawling, i just let the clutch go slowly and let the idling motor move my car. no pressing on the gas until the gap in front of me gets bigger. It just takes time, keep doing it. I know how you feel, before getting the s, i never drove manual before and would get nervous.

ironic the wifey feels the same way ever since she got rear ended. just take solace in knowing you have are going relatively slow and you have great insurance

 

Been having trouble with my trunk I thinks it my alarm.. When ever I alarm my car I can here a pop from the trunk is that the alarm setting it lose or is the locking assemble bad? The trunk has a mind of it's own and pops open whenever It wants even while driving any help would be helpful thanks

 

haha its all good man i think it just takes time of getting used to.
I remember when i first got my car i was pretty nervous every time i were to drive. even through traffic because this was the first manual car that i had to daily drive. But through time it just became second nature to me.


Tell me about it. Having the only set of RG1's on the island and 1 of 3 in the US makes me nervous to just drive around dumb drivers here...

disconnect the trunk release until you can remedy the issue. trunk actuator needs to be addressed.
