i like the idea of getting a documented stock S2 and trying to get recon. but by definition a completely stock car doesn't need recon and in all reality someone attempting to get recon with a stock vehicle probably has plans to modify the car after getting the permit. so I think this would be a red flag at the inspection station and they may not pass it.

I guess you could imply that the stock car is modified but that would just be a reason to fail it based on the fact that it wouldn't pass in completely stock form either.

do you know of anyone that has gotten recon on a completely stock car?

I had my registration and certificate of title generated from the County of Maui.

No reconstruction statutes in that county = no recon tickets from the Honolulu Police Department.
