S2000 CR
took this car on a road test yesterday, and i must say that the handling on this car is impressive. i guess the tires/rear wing/suspension serves it's purpose. the car sits very well when cornering, very noticeable from driving a stock S2000. initial impression of the car was that it was a funky color, but after working on/driving it, i guess you can say i grew onto it. the tonneau cover or whatever it's called, also looks pretty sleek in my opinion. but the bad to this car is the price. the sticker price listed is approx $38K, not including taxes/fees/dealer mark-up when purchasing. if i remember correctly, it's supposedly going to go for approx $40K. not a feasible price, so not sure if it's going to be a highly sought after model. a co-worker of mines said that his brother contacted pflueger honda, and they said they have 6 berlina black ones that they're willing to let go for around $33K out the door brand new just in case anyone knows someone that was thinking of purchasing a new one...
$33k's pretty cheap for a new model out the door. I can see the CR's selling out though TBH. If I had one, no lie, I'd replace/remove: cover, Fr bumper, & wing. I'm partial to AP1 rear, and AP2 (non CR) front. I'm sure it's a BLAST to drive regardless
.
*Oh yay! Noticed I have 2 stars

I just can't see that kind of money for it. If it had some different motor or some funky active diff or something like that, yeah, but it doesn't. Everything on a CR can be done aftermarket. It's just a bodykit, some suspension upgrades, and sticky tires. I mean, I guess if you want to get technical it's got quicker steering, but my regular AP2 isn't boat-like by any means.
It's cool, and I'd like to drive one just to feel it out. But I don't think it's worth the price premium/loss of the soft top.

yeah they didnt put this system in untill 2008.. which makes the CR hard to boost..
and isnt it more the DBW that makes it hard to boost because of limited ecu options?
