Default Suspension spring loads?

is anyone running tein flex on the s2k?

so my question is at what adjustment do you set the sping load?( the 2 coils at the top?)

seems that tein had them set from factory but when the car is off the jacks the f and rear only have a 1" clearance from the bump stops. they basicly are resting on the daym bump stops!

so contacted tein the told me to tighten the spring load 1/2" more but just want to hear your opinions I dont want to bottom out and blow the struts due to the fact that there was not enough stroke to clear a speed bump.

I don't have Flex's but to set mine we started soft on the spring preload and worked our way up intil it was stiff enough, all the while adjusting the body length and demper settings with every preload change. kind of a pain in the ass, but the only real way to do it. prolly took seven or eight tries to get it right.

on my bro's 240's circuit spec shocks from tein, they gave us instructions for all the parameters of shock adjustment. and it was damn close to what is optimal. But that set works in a very narrow range of adjustment. they didn't give us adjustability for street and track, they're track only.

good luck.

you are supposed to measure a distance from some place but i forgot where. it should say in the instructions though.

yeah i read the instructions and if you set to one measurement the it throws off another setting so tein told me not to listen to the instructions "its just a reference" they said.

thanks kent tried what you said took about 6 tries but worked. went about .75 of an inch up untill I couldnt turn anymore by wrench but left 1" off the top threads.

I seem to have 1.50 inch of clearance now when the car is off the jacks(no bottoming out)

glad it worked.

actually, when it first went in it was super low and super stiff (remember, Taka?). then we started from the soft side. even after it looked good, it took a couple of more tries to get the car handling the way i wanted to. i have a little more weight on the front. the car has got a lot of steering and good rotation mid-corner. maybe even a little too much rotation in the middle.

yea i remember. but you should have someone drive inbehind you and see how the car moves. and then you can do some adjustments from there too.

probably he could have but the track was too crowded so he didnt have time.
the car looked flat but the dampening needed to be changed remeber because it was too bouncy.
