Mccurry, didn't add that he did the oil change himself. I just had him watch how it's done before. He's a quick study and good student. Besides, it saves some coin's for other S2k projects.
PM or call (on member list) me if you're serious about DIY engine & diff oil change.
Mccurry and I have been using Amsoil and getting a good price through a dealer here on the island.
I'm thinking in about 3 weeks. I'm glad you have a hook up because I paid a butt load for mine when I bought it from RON's off of nimitz. I also scratched my bumper all up.
Ron's is a customer of the dealer we get our stuff from.
Don't forget to get the engine drain washer and the fill and drain washers for the differental if you want to change those fluids. If you want to do the transmission there are also a drain and fill washers as well. (note: the trans and engine drain washers use the same part number.) I use to get my washers from Tony Honda, but, I had to special order them each time I wanted to change my fluids. Pflueger Honda seems to always have them in stock, so I've been just going to them since.
You could go cheap and flip the aluminium and/or copper washer's over and reuse them. For myself, I rather spend the small cost for new washers and have the peace of mind that my S2K's life blood of synthetic oil is not slowly dripping out pass the drain washer.
Mike are you going to the meet on Monday? I have some washers that I bought at the sametime I got my intake but I'm not sure what they are now. Can you tell if I show them to you?
mmm, i usually don't jack my car up to change engine oil, or the dif fluid. But i do need to change my transmission oil soon. I wanna try that GM friction modified stuff.
