Default why are there no fs threads?

i know they said its starting to look like a garage sale, but im sure there are a lot of s2k owners who have some extra things they would like to sale that other members may need.Whoever the moderator is you should put a seperate section just like clubrsx for a for sale thread.I can understand if someone is selling items that are non s2k related but if it is related i say it shouldnt be locked.I may be alone but im sure many people might agree.

this is the rule on the FOR SALE forum. it also applies to the local forums as well.

"Only current S2KI members may post items for sale, trade or swap. You may only post second-hand or used items. Items for resale or import will be promptly removed and the poster may be banned or suspended. Those using this area for fraudulent activities will be banned and reported to the police. You must provide proof of shipping (tracking number) within 7 days of completion of the sale or you may lose your posting privileges. Please refer to the full For Sale Posting Rules."

i think a few local forums dictate NO for sale threads. that's just the rules.

B-Mir you are not alone. I really don't see a problem with it at all, but it seems rules are rules. I'm going to sign up as member to cover myself.

Yeah it's the rules, but I've always felt that the Hawaii forum has had such slow traffic, so fs threads never bothered me. I'd rather see a lot of fs threads than a dead forum. I've benefited from many of them and I think others have benefited from mine. I think I'm going to sign up for a membership too, even though I have no reason to now.

I think I disagree with you here.

the thing about the "slow traffic" issue relates to the fact that many members from other regional forums visit our forum too. they see what goes on here and bring those observations back to their forums. that's why Colin mentioned that we haven't run into problems YET.

This much is true...we do get people on our forums from all over the place. It'd be a sad thing if we were bombarded with complaints from other regional forums just because we're a little more easygoing with the rules. In any event, the membership isn't all that expensive, I suppose it all depends on what you think you're getting from the site. If it's worth it to you to pick up a membership just to sell things that are WAY higher in cost than the price to play then I say that's a good deal. If you're like me and on here everyday, I think it's worth it just to make sure I do my part to keep this site going. Sides...you only have to buy the membership once a year. I dunno...I believe xviper had something to say about this a while back
