WTB: MY '04
Hey guys, a friend living on Oahu is looking to buy a used '04. He priced a Rio Yellow with 10,000 miles for $30k. Is that reasonable?? Compared to prices here on the mainland, I thought it was high considering the '05s will be out soon.

i would concider that high with 10k mile on it. ive seen several 00 and 03 for $16k and $23k. havent seen any 04 for sale. you could probably get a new left over for close to $30 if he waits a few month

In the last week I've driven that one ('04) and 2 '03s. The '03s that I drove were the white one at the Benz dealership and a yellow one that was a private party sale. The white one freaked me out cuz it had 22k miles and 4 owners and it was just an '03. The yellow one was cherry - 1 owner and 8k miles for $24,600, but the engine was weak compared to the white one with 22k miles... it just wouldn't pull hard. Dunno why.
Bottom line is that I've driven 2 '04s (the 1st '04 was the white one at Pfluger) and 2 '03s in the last month and I like the '04s better so I'm looking for one - are there any '04s that are new on Oahu?

Oh, I may be thinking about selling my 04 for $33k. It only has 4800 mi on it. One owner, Alpine MP3, Infinity Basslink, Infinity Kapa Perfect 6.1s, Rockford Power Series AMP. Clifford Paging System (top of the line one), OEM Front lip, Voodoo Shift knob, Black Chrome Emblem Kit, Comptech Intake, and Hondata gasket. Definitely a better deal than the 04 Rio yellow one.

Thanks for the update. I really wanted to stay under $30K OTD but you seem to have a nice ride. Please post up some pics and let's talk.
