Default WTB Rollbar

Looking for a cromoly roll bar that lets me use the soft to and won't require destroying the plastics of the car.

Any suggestion is well appreciated.

Did you want it to be a safety item or just a show piece? Because if you want a show piece that can be done. If you want something as safety, then your requirements must change. I.E. chrome moly, no cutting.

Safety first, that's the only reason why I'd do it. I actually think it looks pretty ugly with the rollbar.

I thought cromoly was high standard?

About the cutting I can't give this up. I want the modification to be fully reversible.

Is there anything on sale that satisfies these requirements?

A bolt on one is for show.Ones that are actually welded in are the ones that will make a difference.

The Harddog or Elda bar is bolt in. It is the only SCCA approved bar. It requires you to cut the stock roll hoops and rear tray. But if you remove them it is 100% reversible.

I have an Elda bar in storage. It needs about 250 in parts to complete it. Less if you have the parts welded into place (on the roll bar, not car)

It is possible to keep everything stock + roll bar with the Hard Dog as demonstrated in the pics on the website:

Just note that the cross bar could cause loss of that flip up storage.

No clue about the Elda. First I've heard of them, so Jeff can fill you in there.

It also looks like you have to have your seat more forward to fit it.

Elda designed the first roll bar for the S2000. The harddog bar is based off the Elda plans, with slight modifications. Harddog has options, Elda had one configuration.

The stock plastic is definitely cut up quite a bit to fit around the bar in these pics. No way to have it fully reversible unless you leave the plastic trim out after installing the bar.
