Default car battery replacement

Just letting one know that i purchased a Canadian Tire Eliminator battery June of 2006. It came with a 3 year warranty and was just replaced under warranty for free. At my original time of purchase I paid an extra $10 for a total of a 9 year warranty. So I expect that I will get 2 more free replacements in the future. The original cost was around $100, so $25 for 4 batteries in 9 years is great!

I've got the stereo set up with sub and have always started without issue. I don't care if it's a little heavier as it is rock solid and I don't have any hassles with an exchange. You just have to make sure that you have your original receipt.

It's time for me to replace battery really. I just plan to buy stock from dealership. I think that would be the optimal choice.

Btw how long did you guys' battery last? Mine's 2004 and it seems like it died too quickly.

I wouldn't recommend buying from a dealer.
My dad bought a battery from downtown toyota.
He bought from there hoping their warranty was trustworthy.
The battery died within 2 years and he brought it back for warranty replacement.
They wanted us to pay claiming that there was depreciation on the battery. Therefore, we'd have to pay for part of the new battery replacement.

I'd go with any other place that offers hassle free replacement. Canadian tire is friendly in that dept. I haven't tried costco but have heard great things.
